FAQs & Costs

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of mind not a deep sleep. Whilst in a hypnotic state your mind is in an enhanced state of awareness, whilst in this state the hypnotherapist will access your subconscious mind and give positive suggestions in order for you change behaviour, basically reprogramming unwanted patterns of behaviour.

Can I be stuck in a hypnotic state?

No. You are in control at all times and can come out at any time you wish.

Will I reveal all my secrets whilst under hypnosis?

No. You will not reveal anything that you don’t want to, you are always in control and aware.

Does everyone respond to hypnotherapy?

Some people are more susceptible than others. If you are wholly committed to the treatment and feel comfortable with your hypnotherapist there is no reason why this form of therapy will not work for you, just keep an open mind.

How long will a session last?

A general hypnotherapy session will last approximately 1 hour, however a smoking cessation session can be up to 2 hours.

Will I be made to do things that I don’t want to do?

Clinical hypnotherapists cannot compel you to do things you are not comfortable in doing. You are always in control of your actions.
